* Tommy Gilmore was a very friendly person. At one stage of his life he arrived home from India with an Indian wife - the marriage did not last very long.
* George disappeared. Thought to have 'jumped ship' in New Zealand. Terry adds - I had a colleague at work in Brighton who told me he knew a George Gilmore when he worked for GEC in the Midlands. Described him as quite a wild Geordie character! Coincidence?
