ALEC

Alec was a tall and well built person. He had the dark hair of the Nicods and reddish good looking features with the typical mischievous sparkle in his eyes. He usually sported a moustache and spoke with a mix of Yorkshire and Tyneside accents.

He had a good ear for music and enjoyed classical, especially opera.
According to Mother, when he was young he could play anything on a twopenny tin whistle.

He enjoyed sports cars - I once saw him squeezed into a little MG having driven up from Yorkshire. ( Terry)

Alec was always very close to his older brother Ted and went to work at GEC in Yorkshire with him when they were both young. They were both good draughtsmen.

He was not too keen on physical exercise as when Ted went for a cross-country jog, he had to almost pull Alec round with him.

I only saw Alec on two or three occasions when he visited the North East and I was at home. He could be quite aggressive and rather outspoken after a few beers.
