IRELANDA grand meet on the Aurora - a splendid P&O cruise liner. After surprise greetings with champagne we head down The English Channel and across the sea to Ireland GREENLANDApproaching Greenland we saw lots of splendid icebergs and occasional calls for whales. Barren brown hillsides, multistory flats and contented Innuits were first impressions. ICELANDReykjavik in Iceland appeared all very neat and well maintained but little character. Then to the town of Akureyri along a steep-sided fjord with splendid scenery.
  AROUNDPorts of call afforded a walk around to see local shops, markets and places of special interest.   ONBOARD  Always plenty of activities on board - talks, concerts, films, quizzes, games etc plus excellent meals NORWAYBeautiful scenery in the fjords of Norway and very impressed by the cleanliness and neatness of it all. Expensive for the Brits.
