'Lo from the North they came...From East and West and South'. . . . many friends and relatives travelled by coach, cars, plane and train to Nottingham and decended on the spacious house of Jean and Andy to celebrate Jacqui's 70th birthday.
A hired mini-coach brought many down from Tyneside, cars from Manchester, Cambridge, Brighton, Paris...all managed to get there, crowd into the lounge and as Jacqui entered, (she had been invited by Jean to spend a couple of days there and somehow, duped into going out for the morning), the band struck-up 'happy birthday' and voiced a cheering welcome.
Jean and Andy did an excellent job to prepare and organise and make sure Birthday Girl was totally unaware of the tremendous welcome she received as she entered the lounge.
